		<description>Something must be done about excessive hospital pricing and in some cases overly aggressive and unnecessary care.

A case in point, when I underwent cataract surgery several months ago, even though I did not want any sedation and only anesthetic eye drops were going to be used, I still had to undergo presurgical testing for a procedure that was less taxing on my body than a root canal, and I was required to have an anesthesiologist in the OR adding additional expense to the procedure.  Clearly, medical consumers must have more options and choices.</description>
