The Simple Ways to Wealth with Mindful Living

I was browsing one of my favorite blogs, Wise Bread, yesterday and saw the post, Free Ink Refill Day at Walgreens is Back! by Linsey Knerl. Walgreens had a promotion yesterday: if you bring your empty ink cartridge and a coupon, they will refill it for free. The regular fee for refilling is $10 for black ink and $15 for color. It’s a one-day special, and I happened to read that post on the same day of the promotion. I decided to go to two Walgreens stores. I printed out two coupons and brought two empty cartridges with me to Walgreens. I dropped one off at each store, and was told to pick it up after a day or two.
I actually did not know that Walgreens provides ink refilling service, or anywhere else that does. I usually bought new ink cartridges at Costco, and they are expensive even at Costco. I saw on an ad that Office Depo will give you a $3 coupon when you recycle your empty cartridges a while back, and had been saving my empty cartridges to redeem them there, but now I know that Walgreens has such service-not in all locations, you can check the locations here-it’s much better deal.
You may have missed the free refill deal yesterday, but you can look out for the same promotion in the future, as mentioned in Linsey’s post, it was not the first time Walgreens had such promotion. And if you are unaware of their ink refilling service, like I was, I’m sure you will be happy to know that, even without the promotion it’s still much cheaper than buying new cartridges.
